QuarkXpress Preferences
You Should be used AuarkXPress Preference to the default settings.Do not duplicate or copy previous work’s setting, make new document for new works. |

Fonts used
When you use the font typeface from companies that provides general and don’t use transformed font typeface. If you specify a bold effect, the final output will happen bolder than you expected or more spaces. If you use “AppleMyungjo”, “AppleGothic” from Mac OS system fonts, the specified text can be missing. |

Text boxes
Text boxes give appropriate margin. If there is no margin text can be missing. When you use picture box or text box, you should check outer margin mode. |

Unlock picture box print-out
You must unlock picture and text box print-out. If you lock it boxes cannot print. |

setting of color
In color edit box to remove unused color, color name should be named as company and concentration of unique color.
-In color edit box, you must set CMYK color and check 4 color separations option. |

Over print/ Knockout
You should determine Trap Information (View> Show Trap Information) on QuarkXpress.
If you have a background color to black (K100) and the white text when using text or lines, must be set to prevent knockout and overprinting. And the border or drop shadow should to make sure to the text. If you do not set knockout and overprinting it can be printed in different form. The background color, text, boxes, lines are white color must be set to knock out. The background color, text, boxes, lines are black color must be set to overprint. The background color, text, boxes, lines are not white or black must be set to basic default value (0.144pt). |

Define fonts and picture list
Utilities>Font list, used picture file list, check out the available fonts, missing picture files to determine. English fonts must be sending with the document. If you use True Type fonts just send fonts file, but if you use Type1 you should send whole fonts files. You should make sure the type of EPS and in good condition on list of pictures used. Otherwise please be replaced by modifying files. Images must save as 300dpi, CMYK mode and EPS format. Do not use tiff or jpeg format. Image file name is used different names. |

After the final operation, should be checked fonts typeface, list of picture and output files that you used. After the final operation check and the file ’file>output file collection’ to run. DSC separation picture files can cause errors in collecting the images used in EPS format, so please be sure. If you save pages as EPS in Quark picture cannot write to output. If you modify the file collection output error since there will be pictures. Do not use unnecessary pictures or files. Collect for output files by compressing the complete folder can be ordered. |
